Dear Tanaka and Associates Ohana,
COVID-19 has touched the lives of everyone in the islands. Our thoughts and prayers go out to families directly impacted. In this unprecedented and challenging time, we want you to know that we have taken steps to help protect our staff and patients.
We are considered an essential health care operation. Thus, in response to Mayor Caldwell’s announcement on Sunday March 22, 2020
we will remain open with normal business hours.
Below you will find a list of steps we have taken to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:
1) We’re monitoring the situation closely
-The health and wellness of our patients, guests, and staff is always are top priority. We continue to monitor the public health situation closely and adhere strictly to all advice by our local government and Hawaii State Chiropractic Association.
2) We’re here to help
-We are experiencing a much higher-than-usual volume of phone calls at this time with questions and concerns. If we do not answer the phone, please leave a message and we will do our best to call you back in a timely manner.
-Doctor’s notes stating patients were treated are available upon request.
-You can also reach us through our website
3) We’re offering flexibility
-For our seniors and others in the “high-risk” community, we are offering priority appointments at non-peak times of 7:00am, 11:00am (lunch), and 2:00pm.
4) We’re maintaining the highest standards to ensure everyone’s safety
-We utilize a surface disinfectant that kills various bacteria and viruses including HIV, SARS, and Human Coronavirus in 60 seconds. Before the clinic opens all door knobs, counter tops, pens, railings, chairs, and work surfaces are disinfected. Between each patient, all tools, and treatment tables used are disinfected.
-We have installed 8 Hepa filter units to help remove any dust, bacteria and viruses from the air during business hours.
-During non-business hours we are utilizing an Ozone machine to help purifiy the air.
-We are limiting treatment to no more than four people at given time in the adjusting area to ensure proper distancing between people.
-All doctors and therapists are required to wear a mask when working face-to- face with a patient. Gloves are also being utilized with every patient. Staff may also utilize eye protection as an additional precaution.
-We are asking our “non high-risk” individuals that if they arrive early to please check-in with Norene and to please wait in their vehicle. Norene will call or come out to get you when we are ready.
-We are requiring all patients to wear face masks upon entering our facility and during treatments (unless you are exempt due to a respiratory condition).
-We are asking patient to follow social distancing guidelines as much as possible when interacting with staff.
-We are asking any patient that has a cough, cold or flu like symptoms to reschedule when they are well.
-We are asking any patient that has returned from a trip to reschedule after the 14 day self quarantine.
-We have installed an acrylic barrier at the front desk counter.
-We have installed an automatic hand sanitizing spray unit near the entrance/exit door for your convenience.
-Our bathroom has an automatic light sensor and automatic soap dispenser and hand drying unit.
-We are constantly improving on trying to keep you and our staff safe by adding additional steps.
Mahalo for your cooperation and continued support during this difficult time.
